Roadmap
DevOps and cloud
Linux, containers, CI/CD, Kubernetes and infrastructure as code, with hands-on labs.
Who it's for
Developers and system admins who want to run software reliably, and students aiming for cloud roles.
Where it leads
- DevOps engineer
- Cloud engineer
- Site reliability engineer
- Platform engineer
By the end you can
- Work confidently on a Linux server
- Containerise an app and run it on Kubernetes
- Build a CI/CD pipeline from commit to production
- Define cloud infrastructure in Terraform
- 1
Linux and the command line
Almost every server runs Linux. Comfort in the shell is the entry ticket.
- 2
Containers
Docker packages an app with everything it needs, so it runs the same everywhere.
Do this: Containerise an app with a database using Docker Compose, with a volume and a health check.
- 3
CI/CD
Every change tested and deployed automatically. This is most of DevOps day to day.
Do this: Write a pipeline that tests, builds an image, pushes it and deploys it on every merge.
- 4
A cloud provider
Learn one cloud deeply: compute, storage, networking, IAM and billing.
- 5
Kubernetes
The standard for running containers at scale. Learn the core objects before the tooling.
Do this: Run your app on a local cluster with a Deployment, Service, ConfigMap and a rolling update.
- 6
Infrastructure as code and monitoring
Terraform makes infrastructure reviewable; metrics and alerts tell you when it breaks.

- BookSite Reliability EngineeringGoogle. The SRE book, free to read.
Do this: Define your cloud setup in Terraform and add one dashboard and one alert that actually matters.
Learning this with others is easier.
